Hello! Thank you for downloading War Twat. First up, I hope you enjoy the game. This is, I believe, V1.3 of War Twat - or at least it should be if you're reading this readme. If not, how on Earth did you get hold of the readme but no game?

Tch.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

===WAR TWAT INSTRUCTIONS===

War Twat has no plot. It doesn't really need one. You play a small square (because everyone knows that squares are the new round) and you're on a screen. Very soon, you'll find yourself under attack from a large amount of naughty things that are trying to blow you up. Blow them up before they blow you up. When sad clouds appear - shoot them for a Brucey Bonus.

Brucey Bonuses are good as they clear the screen. Clear screens aren't something you get to see often so treasure the respite whilst you can.

Everything is out to kill you in War Twat. Don't stumble into bullets, you'll die. Don't stumble into enemies, you'll die. Don't wander off the arena or guess what? Yup, that's right - you'll die.

===CONTROLS===

Cursors move your ship around, Z fires in the direction you're facing.

F4 changes between windowed/fullscreen (settings not remembered on reset)
F9 takes a screenshot (screenshots are dumped in the games directory)

===I GET SLOWDOWN WHILST TRYING TO PLAY===

Yup, that's meant to happen!

===CHANGES===

1.3 and a bit
-------------

Fixed a silly bug. Thanks to HeavyStylus of RGCD for finding it. Cheers, man!

1.3
---

Awesome, awesome music by Barry Island. Thanks, man.
Lots and lots of new effects. Everything now has a visual cue.
New backgrounds.
Sad cloud behaviour tweaked, they don't wrap.
Slight speed up in the code, doubtlessly offset by the new effects meaning you'll probably see no difference.
TURN THE FUCKING VOLUME UP.
As usual, if upgrading you can still use your old flibble.ini to retain your previous scores.

1.2
---

Added joystick control. New title screen. Fixed small sound glitch.

**If upgrading from a previous version, copying across your previous flibble.ini to the current directory will retain your scores.**

1.1
---

Not a lot. Just added stats to the title screen. The game now breaks down your highest score into time survived/score earned/bonuses gained/enemies shot down.

Time survived is also displayed on the game over screen.

Total games played now recorded also.

===CREDITS===

All game coding by Robert Fearon (Oddbob) mainly over the course of one day in May 2008, with a few tweaks afterwards.

Sound effects generated using SFXR by Dr Petter.

The game was heavily influenced by Crazy Game 99, the works of Cactus and Jeff Minter. As well as Twat stops. Don't ask about the latter,k.
